Before you rent, you must be trained on a longarm. Training in freehand quilting is $100 for 3 hours of class. The first 2 hours focus on how to use the machine, including the process of loading a quilt. The third hour is for you to practice what you have learned in a supervised environment. All materials are provided by Bear Hollow Quilt Company. You may take your test piece with you when you leave.

If you want to quilt pantographs (edge to edge overall patterns), we recommend you use the Statler Stitcher. Training in edge to edge quilting on the Statler Stitcher is $100 for the first 3 hours and $20.00/ hour for the next 4 hours. Training can be done using your quilt or we will provide a quilt to train on. If using your quilt, the cost is $150. for up to 5 hours and $17.50/hour for the next 4 hours.

Training on the Statler Stitcher using the advanced capabilities of the machine is available. Holly is a Certified Creative Studio Trainer & offers a class that fully explores the capabilities of the machine for $150.00. For the Statler Stitcher owner, Holly prefers to us Tammy Finkler's Creative Studio Training Manual which costs $85.00 and includes some wonderful patterns. 

Rental Fees are $80.00 for the first 4 hours or part thereof and $17.50 per hour after that.

Batting & thread are available for purchase or you may bring your own. We stock a nice selection of Sew Batik and Moda wide backings.  We are a Sew-Batik associate and can purchase any of their beautiful batik backings for you.
