Our Quilts - How to Hang
Hanging Your Quilt | How We Make Our Quilts | FAQs | Care Instructions

Most quilts may be hung on a wall for display purposes. Many of our quilts come with a hanging sleeve already sewn in for hanging.

A sleeve may be easily added to any quilt. Adding one to a lap quilt after construction completion gives you more flexibility. You can add and remove the sleeve as your usage of the quilt changes.

Home decoration stores and Quilt Shops sell quilt hangers that are designed to hang the quilt without the use of a sleeve and in a manner that does not harm the fabric.

A 1-inch by 1-inch stick, cut about one inch shorter than the quilt may be placed in the sleeve. You then simply place 2 nails, spaced about 6 inches in from the edges of the quilt on the wall and set the stick on the nails. Lowe’s and Home Depot both sell sticks of this size.

Curtain rods may be used instead of sticks. Either places the rod through the sleeve or use a rod with clip on rings spaced about 4 inches apart.
